Elitron Kombo TAV

 
The Kombo TAV is equipped with an integrated automatic loading and unloading system which fully automates the production process.

TAV is available in two sizes;
3100 x 1600mm
3200 x 2200mm

Bed height can be increased by 500mm to accommodate a bigger stack of panels and the fully automatic lifting platform has a maximum load of 4000kg.

What distinguishes the Kombo TAV and it's technological evolution is the two cutting heads together with the Seeker System which reads printed images from the underside as well as the Airo Technology, the new Elitron patent, which facilitates perfect unloading of worked materials time after time.

An overhead camera is available to read images from above rather than underneath.

How Does the Airo Panel work?
The patented Airo Panel is a full bed size vacuum which picks up any number of sheets and moves them from the bed after cutting.

Not the usual suckers that pick up one sheet at a time to clear the work area. The panel picks up the sheets and the completely cut waste

After cutting there are No Tags for the operators to remove, the cutting is done in it's entirety and the cut panel(s) and waste are removed to the unloading area. The waste can then be removed in seconds rather than having to physically detatch the waste from each cut panel.

Packaging and FSDU
As well as graphics, the Kombo TAV  has been specifically designed to meet the new and growing demands of the packaging and cardboard engineering industries.

It’s a die-less finishing system and therefore saves the high cost and lengthy wait for the production of traditional dies. If a project changes slightly this can lead to delays in production waiting again on new dies. This advantage is further increased when the demand for short run production is greater. The operator can change over jobs at just a click of a button to select from the menu.

Integration


Kombo TAV is not just a standalone product but can be part of an integrated system. It offers the possibility of full automation and integration to guarantee a continual workflow 24/7. A reliable and robust system suitable for industrial production that will stand the test of time.

Capacity
The standard version has a materials loading capacity up to 700 mm high with the possibility of increasing the loading capacity with pallet height up to 1100mm with the uplifted version of the Kombo TAV or 1500mm on the TAV-R.

This results in longer production cycles without any operator intervention (the classic example is during nighttime production). With multi-sheet feeding it's possibile to load and work more than one small dimension sheet at the same time during the same working session.
With the new Preloading System Elitron creates an integrated but independent system to increase productivity by reducing processing times.

By integrating in the production cycle, this device automatically picks up the material from the stack and, after having re-centred the registration marks using Seeker System with two independent cameras, it positions the sheet in the dedicated buffer zone which is situated between the loading area and the cutting area.

Thus the work proceeds with a continuous and constant flow but above all speeded up thanks to the elimination of the re-centering times of printing references. The process takes place whilst the two cutting heads complete the previously assigned job in the cutting area.
Five tool heads
Each of the two multi-tool cutting heads provides a versatility with up to five tools at once:
  • electric oscillating knife module,
  • creasing wheel module – diameter up to 150 mm,
  • laser pointer module,
  • pen module,
  • extra module for additional tool (fixed knife module, 45° knife module or the new Cut & Crease module).
DS Smith, Smurfit Kappa and other European packaging large groups have already made their choice, and got the added value that only a system like Kombo TAV can give, and have installed the solutions proposed by Elitron.
       



Digital cutting sytems have been complimented by the highly flexible and innovative Elipack Design Software.
                              
This software package holds an extensive library of display and box designs (including FEFCO & ECMA templates) and allows the straightforward import and export of proprietary designs in generic design software formats.

 

Elipack is the application package developed by Elitron, ideal for the changing needs of the FSDU industry papermaking and large format digital printing.

It's very user friendly for the designing of new products. Completed designs can be shown in 2D and 3D formats which can also show the stage-by-stage construction and a pdf video of their construction to help your customers assemble the product properly

The CAD Elipack, designed for Windows environments, is able to facilitate each stage of the design of packaging and is compatible with the most common cutting plotters on the market, and particularly with cutting systems from Elitron.

Featuring an extensive library of boxes and displays, including certified FEFCO for corrugated, folding carton for ECMA, as well as many models of POP and POS.
